Week "N" Wedding

This week, Nate and I started running again! It took a few months longer than expected but, hey, we are making it happen now! We plan on signing up for a 5K. More details on that will be coming soon but our running plan says we should be ready in May.

Six months into our house and we have only painted our powder room. Now we have our guest room added to the list! Yay! The color is called Romance from Sherwin Williams. More pics will be added when the bedroom is complete.

We've had so much rain lately that the dried up creek in our backyard is not so dry anymore. We stepped out on our deck and enjoyed the little stream.

This weekend we went to Brownville, TX for Mando and Yvonne's Wedding.
We are so happy for them and their new life together!

Here are a few of the highlights.

Oh and did I forget to mention, Brian, Laurel, and baby Everly came with us?!
Well they did!

And baby Everly loved the music!

My brother Armando and I.

Mom and Dad.

Since Bryan and Laurel came with us of course we had to get our traditional foods.
First, corn in a cup.

Last, tacos!

It was a fun filled week with friends and family!
Life is good!

Spring Break

There are so many reasons why I love my job, and being able to have time off with my siblings is a huge plus! We tried a pizza recipe with the kids at work, so i decided to try this idea with my family. They look funny but are really tasty.

Monday, I cleaned. Tuesday, spent the day with by brother and sister and got a pedicure! Wednesday, we went to the zoo but forgot to take pictures.
Thursday, we went to the Dallas World Aquarium. This was the one thing I wanted to do all week and here are a few of the highlights.

Nathan was suppose to be off with me but was in the middle of a project at work and could not get out. Since Nathan couldn't make it to the Aquarium we were determined to make the weekend count.

Friday we went to Texas Road House, it had been awhile so the steak tasted extra delicious.
After dinner we went to the House of Blues to see "Celghorn." Our friend Dylan is in the band so of course we went to support.

Saturday, our friends Micheal and Linda invited us to a Hulk Marathon at their place. We had munchies and so much fun hanging out with them. We really dig movie nights in "The Tardis" aka/their media room. We are also super excited about Avengers 2 coming out and already bought tickets! Oh yeah!

Saturday and Sunday we painted our guest room. Here is a little sneak peak, we will post the finished product soon.

February

February was kind of a rough month for us. We did not want to do anything! But here are a few things we did do.
Story, growing up I had my own room with a queen size bed set. Spoiled I know. Any how, my mother was going to give way the set when I suggested taking it. She gladly gave it to me and I decided to give it a face lift.
We did the bed and here are the results.

I love my bed!

For Valentine's I wanted to make a special treat for my kids at work but a few are on a gluten free diet so I decided to make gluten free macaroons. My handsome husband helped, the end result looked really cute but taste....not so good.

Another story/confession, at the beginning of the year I found myself Utah sick. I missed our friends, the mountains, the weather and of course the snow. So I prayed to Heavenly Father if I could PLEASE have a real snow day. I knew it sounded silly and there are more important prayers that He could answer but it was something I really wanted. Needless to say I received my wonderful gift of snow.

On a Friday I went to pick up my sister and she spent the night!

I know we have a 16 year difference in age but she is so funny and I love having her as my sister!
